Vulcano and the Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands are an archipelago of extraordinary beauty, shaped by wind, fire and sea. Seven volcanic islands, each with its own soul, its own colours, rhythms and element. You are in a place where nature still expresses itself in all its power. Get ready for a journey through lunar landscapes, hidden beaches and villages of unspoilt charm, to be discovered through experiences tailor-made for you.

Whether it is an excursion along the trails of Vulcano, a boat tour to the nearby islands or a dedicated itinerary through vineyards and breathtaking views, our staff can arrange every detail to make your exploration of this magical archipelago truly special. Every journey is unique: tell us yours, and we will turn it into an unforgettable experience.

The island of passion

Vulcano

A land of fire and wind, Vulcano is the harshest, wildest and most magnetic of the Aeolian Islands. It is here that nature reveals itself in all its power. Here are a few suggestions for experiencing it to the fullest:

Climb the volcano’s crater, cross lunar landscapes and breathe in the scent of sulphur.
• Immerse yourself in the sulphurous thermal waters of Levante Bay, which regenerate body and mind.
• Relax on the black-sand beach of Sabbie Nere, where the volcanic sand creates a fascinating contrast with the turquoise sea.
• Explore Grotta del Cavallo and the Pool of Venus, magical places that can only be reached by sea, where the water takes on extraordinary shades.
• Do not miss the trek to the Valley of the Monsters. Discover the history of this isthmus and its three craters, and how its “monsters” have shaped the surrounding landscape.

Between the sea, nightlife and culture

Lipari

The eldest of the Aeolian Islands, Lipari stands out for its vibrant soul, with its charming lively historic centre and its wonderful white beaches. If you want to make the most of every corner of it, you should:

Visit Lipari Castle and the Archaeological Museum, to take home a piece of the island’s ancient history.
Discover its most beautiful beaches, such as Spiaggia Bianca, with its pale seabed and crystal-clear waters, and Valle Muria, a secluded corner framed by red cliffs.
Stroll through the streets of the centre, stop at a seafront restaurant and enjoy a well-deserved plate of Aeolian pasta with capers and cherry tomatoes grown here.

The green island

Salina

Here we are on the lushest island of the Aeolian archipelago, a paradise of nature and authentic flavours. Here, time truly slows down, among evocative vineyards, breathtaking cliffs and air scented with capers. The experiences we recommend are:

Trekking up to Monte Fossa delle Felci, the highest peak in the Aeolian Islands, with its spectacular views.
Malvasia, the island’s typical sweet wine, to be enjoyed while exploring the local wineries.
Reliving the atmosphere of the film Il Postino, by strolling among the colourful houses of Pollara and looking out over the bay where Massimo Troisi shot some of its most iconic scenes.
A dip in the crystal-clear waters of Cala Pollara, one of the most enchanting bays in the archipelago.
